Stroke Protocol Learning Module

Goals for the Project

A professor from the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences had a vision to create an open module for medical students informing them about a stroke protocol and the interconnectedness between all health care professionals involved. They wanted a video module that was engaging and realistic to take students on a journey through a story.

The goal was of the learning module was to create a video case study for medical students, taking them through a case of a stroke patient and highlighting the different health care professionals involved in dealing with a stroke protocol. Also included were interviews from health care professionals and recovered stroke patients.

How Did We Achieve the Project Goals?

The ITRC project team planned alongside team members from Schulich to develop what the story would look like, who would be involved, and where/what shots were needed for the videos, resulting in a successfully produced case study that featured 24 scenes and 20 interviews.
